Inspections & Testing

To comply with Canadian Standards and Occupational Health and Safety regulations, annual crane inspections must be supervised by a Professional Engineer competent in the inspection of cranes.

The professional engineers at High Engineering are certified to provide structural consulting and have the experience, knowledge and qualifications to meet all of your mobile equipment inspection needs.

We inspect boom trucks, mobile cranes and overhead cranes for a wide variety of clients throughout Newfoundland and Labrador and our senior structural engineer is one of few registered Professional Engineers in the Province accredited by the Canadian Welding Bureau as a Welding Engineer.
Our services are mobile - we will come to your shop or site to complete the inspections.

We can develop scheduled annual inspections to keep your shop/equipment safe and up to CSA Standards by providing the following:

Inspection of the main and structural components
Visual and NDT inspection of the critical components
Visual inspection of the blocks, sheaves and wire ropes
Load testing
A detailed, customized report containing a summary of observations, recommendations for repairs and signed inspection sheet
Professional Engineer's Certificate and inspection tag
(upon completion of repairs if required)

In order to comply with CSA requirements, High Engineering Consultants works closely with the professional technicians of Team Inspection Services Inc. who are qualified to the requirements of CSA Standard W178.2 and the Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB).

Our Crane Inspections are regulated under the following Canadian Codes:
